Thank You!

THANK YOU FOR MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. WE LOOK FORWARD TO DISCUSSING YOUR CHURCH OR NON-PROFIT NEEDS.

FAQ’s FOR CHURCHES:

  • Small to medium sized churches of all life stages, typically with up to 10 full-time employees. I am located in Massachusetts, though because remote bookkeeping can be done anywhere with the help of the internet, I’m able to serve churches all across the country.

  • This gives you flexibility when hiring the right resource and enables you access to high-level expertise at a more cost-effective rate. I am also always a quick phone call or email away, no need to wait for scheduled business hours.

  • Now that bookkeeping and donor platforms are primarily online, the software can be accessed from anywhere. Once we begin working together, we’ll walk through a customized process for your church during the transition meeting to ensure the transfer of information is seamless and communication is timely.

  • Not to worry. Plenty of churches haven’t transitioned to a bookkeeper, and have been relying on member volunteers or office administrators with spreadsheets or desktop-based software. I have helped multiple churches transition to working with a professional bookkeeper and switch to using an online accounting software.

  • Many churches still appreciate having a professional bookkeeper to take some items off of the office manager’s to do list and provide further expertise with payroll and financial reporting. I offer both full-service or a la carte bookkeeping services, depending on what fits the church’s needs and dynamics the best.

  • Believe me, I’ve seen it all. Most volunteers or church administrators were never formally trained on how to accurately and efficiently keep the books and finances, and may have made some missteps. This is all part of the normal clean up that any client goes through when we start our work together.

  • Yes!  I have experience working with church plants assisting them with obtaining a federal EIN, 501(c)3 determination letter, state sales tax exemption certificate, as well as setting up new bank accounts, planning an initial budget for the first year, and establishing deposit and spending processes that are simple and easy to follow for a church just starting out.

  • I primarily work with QuickBooks Online and Desktop, but am familiar with a variety of other church-specific software.  Let’s discuss what software options work best for your church and budget.

  • Bookkeeping services are customized based on each church’s needs and budget, and are typically charged at a fixed monthly rate.

Factors that influence the time and cost for bookkeeping include number of employees, bank accounts/funds, transactions, and properties.

  • The first step is to contact me to schedule a free short consultation call. This way I can answer any additional questions and provide next steps to get started.

FAQ’s FOR NON-PROFITS:

  • I work with nonprofits of all sizes — ranging from well-established organizations to those just starting out — that are dedicated to helping people, animals, the environment, and their communities.

If your nonprofit is passionate about its mission, I’m here to provide experienced, reliable bookkeeping support.

  • Not to worry!  Most nonprofits without a professional bookkeeper don’t have formal training on how to accurately and efficiently keep the official books, and may have made missteps. This is all part of the normal clean up and process for any client when we start our work together.
